Weymouth Town Charities (WTC) Is Seeking New Trustees

WTC which manages charitable funds dating back as far as 1666 is looking to add two new trustees to its existing trust board. WTC manages two groups of charities the Sir Samuel Mico Charities which provides scholarships, educational and developmental grants to around 100 young people aged 16 to 24 each year and the Sir Henry Edwards Charities which provides low cost accommodation (32 properties) to elderly people who can not afford to own, or rent a property.

The trust is inviting expressions of interest from individuals who would be interested in being considered for these vacancies and would particularly like to hear from anyone with either property management/maintenance experience, or experience of working with young people in an educational, sport or developmental role.

These are honorary positions and do not attract any remuneration. Trustees need to reside, or have occupation, or employment in, or other special knowledge of the borough of Weymouth & Portland. For an informal discussion about the Charities please call the Chairman, Gary Hepburn on 01305 778169
