350th Anniversary of Sir Samuel Mico

The annual Sir Samuel Mico Service on 27th March sees the trust start of a year of celebrations for the 350th anniversary of Sir Samuel Mico’s bequest to the town. It is not known exactly when Sir Samuel Mico died but it was somewhere between the date his will was dated on 25th September 1665 and the date that it was proved on 22 May 1666. It is therefore likely that he died in late 1665 or early 1666.
