Sanderson Wells Confidential Assistance Fund

The Sanderson Wells Confidential Assistance Fund has recently joined the Weymouth Town Charities family of local charities.

The charity exists to assist people who may be considered in need of “special financial assistance”, whilst the charity scheme from when it was set up several decades ago does give examples of “special financial assistance “ of those leaving hospital, or hospital nurses needing assistance and others, it is at the discretion of the trustees to consider the circumstances and to award assistance if they feel it comes within the intended aims of the scheme.

Please note that funds are limited and that this is a small grants scheme.

To apply for assistance applicants must be resident in the DT3, DT4 or DT5 postcode area.

All applicants will need the support of a social worker, family worker, their Doctor (GP) or reputable organisation such as Help and Kindness. Their supporter can email or write to us independently quoting the applicant’s name and application number.

Please note we work in partnership with other local organisations such as Dorset Reclaim, and we may make a referral to them, or another third party who may assist with the provision of any household goods/items on our behalf.
