• Provides educational grants to young people aged between 16 and 24
• Supports those undertaking apprenticeships
• Provides pensions to seaman who have sailed before the mast

Sir Henry Edwards’ Charities

• Provides low cost accommodation to elderly residents of Weymouth & Portland
• Provides an annual dinner to the elderly persons in its accommodation

The Weymouth Town Charities run an educational trust for young people from the Weymouth & Portland area and also low cost accommodation for the elderly people of Weymouth & Portland. The trust is split into two groups of charities:
